True Crime Streets of New York

True Crime Streets of New York

The same kind of game as Streets of LA, but this time the game is set in New York. There is nothing new added to the game, except the awesome re-creation of New York city, where the player can explore and do side missions etc.

Harvest Moon

Harvest Moon

So the main overall plot of Harvest Moon is for the player to rebuild a run-down old farm and try to rebuild and restore it. As well as tending to crops and livestock, eventually further on in the series the player can get married and start a family.

Freelancer

Freelancer

An open world sci-fi simulation from the creator of Wing Commander, Chris Roberts, Freelancer allows you to do whatever you want, either wreaking havoc or forming alliances to get the job done. The space combat is solid and there are plenty of opportunities for upgrading your ship. Even better, there’s a fast forward option for arduously long journeys.

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction

Playing mercenaries was quite an enjoyable experience despite the average visuals. Players can perform missions, side tasks; collect items, hijack vehicles and more. In addition the player can level all of the buildings in the game world, including the faction HQs.

Final Fantasy XII

Final Fantasy XII

The game is an awesome game in its own right despite featuring a new Gambit system that took control away from the gamer (which actually just making tedious fights fly by quicker). It offers the player more freedom than previous Final Fantasy game, mimicking the open world of MMOs with various high level enemies to fight and items to discover.

The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall

The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall

The game has a certain richness in its open world themes and can even keep the player busy for months at a time with tis villages, towns and dungeons. The random nature of the game ensured you wouldn’t be exploring the same environment twice.

Don’t Starve

Don’t Starve

The game is a recent open world survival game, which has the player avoiding starvation, insanity, and hostile enemies. The player can explore along with gathering and creating a variety of tools and items.

Mafia 2

Mafia 2

Mafia 2’s open world offered a decent experience, but given the number of years it was in development, it bought nothing new to the table except maybe a few new locations and cars. Nonetheless, it was solid if a little stifling in the open world department.

DayZ

DayZ

DayZ is an open world zombie game, previously a mod for ARMA 2. The game has the player tracking down food as well as making clothing to avoid freezing in the night. In addition the player can also create buildings and constructs besides fighting off zombies. Though not released yet, it is one of the most hotly anticipated online zombie survival horror titles.

Dead Island

Dead Island

The game is not your typical open world game, as most of the game’s open world is quite deserted or has zombies who are out to kill you at every moment. You can venture into hotels and apartments and gather resources for your survival along with creating new weapons. There are a variety of players to select as well.

Dragon Age 2

Dragon Age 2

Dragon Age 2 was not a very appealing open world game despite featuring better action-oriented combat. Nonetheless, the city itself had some fun moments and there was the same range of character choices as seen in the original game.

Deadly Premonition

Deadly Premonition

Picture 4 of 100
The Twin Peaks-inspired hallucinogenic horror experience, Deadly Premonition sees the player exploring on foot or using a variety of cars to travel long distances quickly while exploring the mysteries of a killer on the loose. Various people will also have their own schedules and will travel about town realistically as they go about their business.

Postal 3

Postal 3

Postal 3 is such a weird and twisted open world game. Lets just say that the game will shock you to your core and leave it at that. For those who seek gruesome violence, it might just be the ticket.

subnautica

Subnautica[1] is a game in development by Unknown Worlds Entertainment[2] Subnautica allows you to explore an unknown alien planet by scuba diving and traveling in submarines. The planet is almost all water, meaning you have to scuba dive for resources such as metal and sand.

Overview[edit]

After crash landing on an alien ocean world, the only way to go is down. Subnautica's oceans range from sun drenched shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore Kelp Forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. The water teems with life: Some of it helpful, much of it harmful.[3]

Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation

Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation

As with previous Assassin's Creed games the player can roam through jungles, and cities, pickpocketing guards, getting into fights and other side missions, only playing Aveline over Connor. Not the best Assassin’s Creed game but a worthwhile diversion on the handheld.
When it comes to wide-open spaces, games these days offer so many options to just explore the environment around you; often you stumble upon a hidden treasure, or get ambushed by a roving gang of thieves or assassins.

Simpsons Road Rage

Simpsons Road Rage

Despite the similarities to Crazy Taxi, Road Rage does have the Simpsons likenesses and the world of Springfield to drive around. It’s a fun diversion – by no means the best open world game but certainly better than Crazy Taxi 3.
When it comes to wide-open spaces, games these days offer so many options to just explore the environment around you; often you stumble upon a hidden treasure, or get ambushed by a roving gang of thieves or assassins. One moment you are riding your horse without caring about anything, the next minute you’re attacked by a fire-breathing dragon.

Water Globe

Water Globe
Water Globe is just a set of interactive screen toys. You can play around with globes and make them snow, change gravity, and snowflake size. We’re not sure why anyone would pay more than $200 for this app, when you can probably get a real snow globe for way cheaper.

G-Map U.S West

G-Map U.S. West
G-Map is a voice-prompted turn-by-turn navigation system, and you don’t need Wi-Fi or an internet connection to use it. It includes goodies such as 3-D view and text-to-speech, but with Google Maps and Apple Maps, there’s no real reason to drop this much money on an app that does practically the same thing.

how to make a fettucini alfredo

Ingredients

  • 7 ounces (200 grams) fettuccine
  • 1.2 ounces (35 grams) butter
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 6.5 ounces (180 ml) Heavy cream
  • 2 ounces (60g) Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 ounces (120g) Romano cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper
  • Parsley, to garnish

    1
Begin cooking the pasta. Bring a pan nearly full of water to a boil and add some salt. Next, add the pasta into the boiling water and cook it for the recommended time on the package until "al dente" which means cooked but still a little stiff to the bite. Do not let it overcook.
    • Although you can make your own pasta if desired, many cooks recommend against it for this particular recipe. Fresh fettuccine does not hold up as well as dried fettuccine does, although you're certainly welcome to try.
