Start with a large portion of food and a tall glass of water in front of you. Choose a food that you can consume quickly -like macaroni and cheese, or pizza. Food with bones can be dangerous and slow going.
When you're really psyched, dig in! Practice taking bigger bites than usual. Chew well enough to get the food ready to swallow, but don't take all day. Be efficient with your chewing -don't chew the same place twice. Always break up the larger pieces into smaller ones! Don't waste time biting your lip or cheek. This really throws you off!
Swallow! Get ready with the water or the next bite while swallowing. Don't waste any time! Water really helps the swallowing to happen faster without forcing. Use water every three mouth fulls.
Continue until you have finished the meal, or you are too full. When you are done, raise your fists up into the air in triumph! Come up with something really cool to say, for example, "Take that, you plate of food, you're in my belly!"
