Roman Bernard Atwood (born May 28, 1983)[1] is an American YouTube personality, vlogger, prankster, comedian, actor, and film director
He is known for his hidden camera public prank videos, which he uploads to his YouTube account. As of July 2015, the videos on his main channel have garnered over 996 million views and more than 6.7 million subscribers. Since August 13, 2013, he has been making videos for his vlog channel, the videos have garnered over 570 million views and more than 3,109,000 subscribers.[2] He frequently collaborates with Dennis Roady, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy and Tom Mabe. Atwood, Zdorovetskiy and Roady have shot a movie entitled Natural Born Pranksters, the movie is in post-production but has yet to be released. This movie will be Atwood's directorial debut. He has also made videos with other YouTube stars such as, The Dudesons, Fouseytube, and Jesse from the channel PrankvsPrank. Roman has just recently started filming a reality prank show with Howie and Alex Mandel. He is also the first known YouTuber to vlog with a 360 degree camera that works for iOS 8 devices, Android devices, and Google Chrome.

Early life

Roman Bernard Atwood was born in Ohio on May 28, 1983 to Curtis Dale Atwood II (born August 16, 1959, Ohio) and Susan Anne Christman (born October 13, 1960, Ohio). He married Shanna Janette Reilly (born February 21, 1983, Utah) on November 17, 2001 in Licking County, Ohio, with whom they have a son named Noah Vaughn Atwood (born October 18, 2004, Ohio). They were divorced in 2008. After their divorce, Atwood started dating Brittney Danelle Smith (born February 16, 1991, Ohio) since November 2008, with whom they have a son named Kane Alexander Atwood (born October 23, 2011, Ohio).[1][4]
From Millersport, Ohio, Atwood has been filming and producing videos since high school. He produced a series of DVDs called "The Nerd Herd" which he sold at the Warped Tour in 2006.[5] Atwood has also worked on various film projects and commercials in Columbus, Ohio until 2010, when he decided to focus on his passion of comedy and created the YouTube channel "Sketch Empire". Before his career as a YouTube prankster, he was working in his family's rope factory "Atwood Rope".[6]

Insane Toilet Paper Prank

Atwood prank on Howie Mandel's mansion by rolling toilet paper. Howie Mandel's son "Alex Mandel" was helping to roll the toilet paper. while Howie Mandel was still in the airport arrived from New York.

Plastic Ball Prank

Atwood fills his house with plastic balls 2.5 ft high while his girlfriend is out. As of 8 June 2015, this video has over 35 million views. This video was noticed by Nissan, who gave him a 2015 Nissan GTR in exchange to use his video in the WithDad campaign during their half-time advert at Super Bowl XLIX

Anniversary Prank

His "Anniversary Prank Backfires!!" was posted on November 20, 2013 and has over 66 million views as of June 2015. It features Atwood pranking his girlfriend on their five-year anniversary by confessing that he has cheated on her. The prank backfires when she pranks him back by pretending that she has cheated on him too. At the end of the video, his girlfriend, Brittney says "I thought you were going to propose.".[7]

Killing My Kid Prank

A prank entitled "Killing My Own Kid PRANK!!",posted on November 30, 2014 and has over 27[8] million views as of the 8th June 2015, shows Atwood "pranking" his girlfriend Brittney by throwing a mannequin of Atwood's youngest son, Kane, age 3, over the balcony of their 2 story house. When Brittney reaches the mannequin dressed in a Spider-Man costume, she quickly pulls the mask off and notices that it was just another one of his pranks. At this point she breaks down into tears as Roman enters the room snickering at her. She then storms off, but returns when Roman asks her "Are you really that mad?" She then starts shouting at him and tells him he's "sleeping on the couch".[9]

Pee Prank on Cops

Atwood's breakthrough video, entitled "Cops Get Owned!!! - Epic Pee Prank", was posted on March 4, 2012 and has over 21 million views as of February 2015. The video features his good friend Dennis Roady pretending to urinate, using a poked water bottle, in front of police officers.[10]

Ferrari Pee Prank

Another one of Atwood's videos is titled "Attacked By Ferrari Owner - Pee Prank". This video was posted on April 14, 2013 and has over 20 million views as of February 2015. It features a Ferrari parking on a handicapped spot. Atwood had poked a hole in a water bottle's top, so that he could pretend to be urinating on the vehicle. After the owner saw him "urinating" on his car, he ran towards Atwood and started to push and shout at him; furthermore, when Atwood confronted the owner for parking in a handicap spot, the owner retorted "I don't care! It's a Ferrari!".
